Our Story
Newly married,
newly Maple
We're Matt and Justine — newly married husband and wife, calling Ibiza home for the last nine years. In May we said our vows at a beautiful villa here on the island, and out of that day something new was born.
Matt is a carpenter with a passion for unique, handcrafted pieces. For him, wood isn't a material — it's a craft. Every table he builds is cut, joined and finished by hand, made to be sat at, leant on, and remembered. He's worked across the island for nearly a decade, and every Maple Hire table carries that time in its grain.
Justine is a teacher with Canadian roots — which is where the name Maple comes from. A nod to home, to where she grew up, and to the warmth and character we wanted this business to carry. She brings the same care to Maple Hire that she brings to her classroom every day: a real understanding of people, and a gift for planning the details that make someone feel looked after.
And Mambo — our pride and joy, Ibiza Final Paws, Head of Operations. He barks for fun and supervises every build.

Every table, made by hand
The tables at the heart of every Maple Hire setting aren't bought from a catalogue — they're built by Matt, one at a time. Sourced, cut, joined and finished on the island, each table carries the grain, the weight and the warmth of real woodworking. It's why a Maple Hire setup is recognisable the moment your guests walk in. Not hired plastic dressed up to look like wood.
